The deck overlooking Boston Harbor presented the challenge of framing to level out a pitched roof and working with ipe, a superior hardwood known for its
durability and strength. Also on view is a staircase project in a Boston condominium. Converting the original enclosed, carpeted staircase
started with removing a wall and replacing it with over the post railing. New treads and risers created a period look in keeping with the original historic
architecture.
